How to change PS3 NAT type to NAT type 2 (Ultimate Fix)

Hi there. You’ve probably read about this in so many other blogs and help forums out there. To be honest, this NAT type issu has never bugged me before. Until recently I find it hard to connect with a few of my friends on Battlefield: Bad Company and Winning Eleven 2009.

Ok, I have Googled the whole solution, open ports 80, 443 and 5223 (TCP). And open ports 3478, 3479, 3658 (UDP). All this port opening/forwarding has been well documented and I can assure that everyone knows about it. Along with putting your PS3 on the DMZ (wow, it rhymes!).

What if it still doesn’t work? Here’s the solution. You need to know:

1. How to reset your router (two ways, hard reset or soft reset).
2. How to set it up again.
3. How to manually set up PS3 networking.

Reset Your Router.
Before you proceed. Make sure you have your router manual, and you have your current router configuration copied on a piece of paper or something. Reset your router using the hard reset button (refer manual), or your router web based software (not all router will have this). Now your router is set to factory defaults.

Setting it up Again
Before you proceed this step, please leave the PS3 alone for now. No need to do anything to it. Now, reconfigure your router to its last working configuration (so you can connect to the internet again). Refer to the manual, or call a friend who knows. Don’t call me. Once you have set your router to its last working configuration, it’s time to open/forward the ports. Open all the required ports for PS3 to work in NAT type 2. Now with the router done, leave it alone and move along to the PS3.

Manually set up the PS3
This should be easy as the PS3 will guide you through. Just make sure that you set your IP as same as the one you forwarded the ports on the router. If the router config has port 3478, 3479, 3658 (UDP), 80, 443, 5223 (TCP) open on IP 192.168.1.50 then set your PS3 IP to 192.168.1.50

Test connection and walla!

The key step here is RESETTING your router to factory default and then do the port forwarding thinggie on your router. Do leave any comments if you still have problems, or not.

Transformers Animated: Leader Class Bulkhead

Oh look, Bulkhead got upgrades!

No, it’s not just any ordinary upgrades. He’s been upgraded to Leader Class. OMG, right?

Leader class is a totally different toy from the voyager class toy. First of all the size (obviously). Then the arsenal, he’s equipped with missles and a turret in vehicle mode, and strangely placed rotating saw on his right hand. I don’t mind the wrecking ball you know, it’s more accurate. Whatever, my opinion doesn’t count. He also have a few gimmicks installed. The Autobots insignia, when pressed will make him talk. I don’t want to spoil it, but he says, “Time for the big guns” “You can do it buddy!” and “Ooopps, my bad”.

I love this guy Leader Class or Voyager Class. The toy is just so solid. It’s worth it, even though both class a bit pricey.

“We love crude oil!”

On vehicle mode, when the Autobot insignia is pressed, it will trigger the alarm. Neat!

I almost forgot! You will also get a headmaster unit with the figure. Like in the animated series, snap on the headmaster unit and you’ll unlock a nice surprise.

BUY it if you still don’t have the voyager class. Nothing wrong with having both though.

Shrek!

I am taking a much needed rest from all this Transformers fever I’ve been getting. Let’s take it down a notch and see what else I have lying around. And by the way, that ‘pirate vs ninja’ thing I promised is giving me a headache.

It’s King Shrek!

And why is he in a plastic bag?

Reason being, it was a gift from a friend and I think it’s rare. This toy was a McDonald’s exclusive during the ‘Shrek the Third’ screening. Toy was sold at RM3.90 (if I am not mistaken) within any purchase of McDonald’s value meal, or was it happy meal? Wotever…

This toy was sold out in a flash (at least I thought it was). I wanted Shrek and Donkey, and didn’t get both. Lucky a friend had extra and gave me the extra just like that. I never open it, it’s still MISP (mint in seal plastic). I am awesome. I did buy the others though, Pinocchio, Donkey Jr, and Ginger Bread Man.

Shrek says, “BUUUUURRRRRPPPPPPPPP!!!” “I’m an orge” and “I’m on it” when you push the voice button. I love this toy, and since I still have it in its original packaging, I am thinking of selling it. Like a thousand bucks or something. BUY it! Haha!

Transformers Animated: Deluxe Class Prowl

I love ninjas. Know what I would love more than ninjas? Ninja robots!

Here I present you Transformers Animated: Prowl.

This is my first Transformers figure that is a motorcycle. I’ve seen other figures including Movie Arcee, Elita One, and some of those Cybertron bikes. They all suck! All of them have tyres break in half in robot mode. So not credible, yes?

Then I heard prowl is going to be released. I’ve got to see this! And I was sold. He looks so good in the videos, furthermore he’s a freaking ninja in the animated series. Oh my God, I am so gonna get this!

Ultra Magnus says “Ride or die, kids.”

Here, Prowl’s vehicle mode is a police superbike. Well, at least it looks like a superbike. 500cc ok? Looks very nice, wait until you see where both tyres go.

And now, robot mode. Look at the tyres now situated at his legs. Kudos to the designers, you are all winnars!

Robot mode is awesome, and the articulation is very good. It comes with two oversized shurikens, which can be stored at its rim sides. Yeah, bad-ass ninjas bring oversized shurikens to the fight.

I tried to kick your teeth, and I almost fell down!

Remember kids, ninjas > pirates.

This is a very good figure, looks great in vehicle mode, great articulation in robot mode. Must BUY it!
